GardensÂ
The current collection of gardens has been developed by JJ over the last 15 years and continues to evolve.
Each of the sections of the garden is unique and includes numerous native plantings. These include Kathleen’s herbaceous border, a topiary & cloud pruned garden, woodland area, cottage garden, stumpery, yuccas, Delos & WW1 Memorial Avenue of Oaks leading to an enchanting Fairyland.
JJ has further developed a unique dome of nine inter-woven macrocarpa trees, housing a coven of witches and their apprentices.
Bordered by magnificent hedges and mature specimen trees, the majority of Brookfield’s gardens are contained within this structure. A 100-year-old tortured elm straddles the driveway leading to the house.
Throughout the garden, JJ has installed numerous sculptures including many by New Zealand sculptor Jeff Thomson, Australian artist Warren Luke and animals by Rustic Twist.
A boardwalk extends from the house, across a fountain pond bordered with native grasses, to the top lawn and loggia for entertaining.
